A Disclosure and Barring Service check is a legal requirement for all licensed taxi drivers in England. You'll complete an enhanced DBS through Ucheck — we'll send you the link and walk you through it. Once issued, it's maintained via the annual DBS Update Service.
All taxi drivers must meet DVLA Group 2 medical standards. This assesses your overall fitness to drive professionally. We can arrange your appointment directly.
You'll need to pass a local knowledge test set by Hastings Borough Council. It covers local landmarks, basic math, road signs and the taxi policy. We can point you to study materials to prepare.
A practical driving assessment ensures you meet the professional standard expected of a licensed taxi driver. Our team will let you know exactly what to expect before you sit it.
